Who
we are
At Beantown Music School, we offer a broad range of opportunities for musicians of all levels — from beginners picking up their first instrument to seasoned players ready to take the stage. Our programs include small group classes, one-on-one private lessons, and band ensembles, all taught by professional, experienced musicians who bring real-world knowledge and passion to every session. Students can study guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, vocals, songwriting, beatmaking/music production, DJing, and more.
We’re more than just lessons — we’re a community. Students form friendships, build confidence, and grow their skills in environments designed to inspire and challenge. Whether you’re joining a band for the season, preparing for a live show, or exploring music production, Beantown Music School is the place to learn, create, and perform.
Join us and discover your sound — from your first chord to your first crowd.

Guided by Thomas Perry, we will listen, talk, and learn a few of Bessie’s songs, exploring how music from the Georgia Sea Islands carries history, faith, and community across generations. Her work reminds us how rhythm and voice became tools of survival, resilience, and celebration.
No musical experience is needed-just a willingness to listen and join in.
