Small Group Music Lessons
Beantown Music School’s Small Group Lessons offer the perfect balance between personalized instruction and the energy of learning alongside others. Designed for students who enjoy collaboration and connection, small groups provide a supportive, engaging environment while still allowing for individual attention from experienced instructors.
Groups are intentionally kept small and are organized by age, experience level, and musical interests. Students learn together while developing core skills such as technique, rhythm, listening, and musical communication. Whether focusing on voice, keys, drums, guitar, or bass, small group lessons encourage growth through shared learning and creative collaboration.
Small group lessons focus on:
Building strong musical foundations
Learning and playing songs together
Developing timing, listening, and ensemble skills
Gaining confidence through collaboration and performance
Small group lessons are ideal for students who thrive in a social setting, want to stay motivated, or are looking for a more affordable alternative to private lessons—without sacrificing quality instruction.
At Beantown Music School, small group lessons are about learning together, supporting one another, and discovering the joy of making music as part of a community.
Join a Pre-Teen or Teen Band
Playing in a band is one of the most powerful ways young musicians grow—building confidence, collaboration skills, and a deeper connection to music. Beantown Music School’s Pre-Teen and Teen Band Programs offer students the chance to join a band for a full season of weekly rehearsals, working together toward a live performance at the end of the session.
Bands are grouped by age and experience level and are led by professional instructors who guide students through learning songs, rehearsing as a group, and developing strong ensemble skills in a fun, supportive environment.
